My Daughter's Tears
This is the second design in a series dedicated to my love for the culture and spirit of all Native Americans. The mother cries for her daughter after she has performed poorly in a Pow Wow dance. She tells her that doing your best is all that you can do, and that if you do your best you have won, no matter what the event. The regalia shown is not of a particular tribe. The border design is of primitive shapes, irregular symbols often used in pottery designs. No applique is used in this piece, it is entirely machine pieced and machine quilted.
